We're no longer using this buildpack due to the complexity of maintaining it. We've migrated to https://github.com/ello/heroku-buildpack-imagemagick - you should use that instead!
Use the latest version of ImageMagick inside Heroku Cedar 14.
ImageMagick 6.8 won't be merged into Ubuntu until Ubuntu vivid is released.
This buildpack downloads and installs the vivid packages manually.
This buildpack is built to be used through heroku-buildpack-multi, so in your app you need to:
heroku buildpacks:set https://github.com/ddollar/heroku-buildpack-multi.git
Then, create a
.buildpacks file inside your app:
This example was based on the nodejs buildpack, but it can be used with any other. If it is not working with yours, please report a bug.
Thanks to the creator and contributors of the original heroku-buildpack-image-magick for many of the ideas used here
